Uber’s new office in San Francisco was designed by Studio O+A and considered the request of the company to make it a space which is independent from the main headquarters and give it its own image. Uber wanted the new office to be the rebel of the family. For the office, Studio O+A made it freestanding, allowing each space to consider the employees working in the space. The space also showcased elements that show that the office focuses on ‘starting-up’ something and it looks “unfinished” to cement this idea. A populist luxury theme is also prominent in the office, giving it a modern and sharp look.
