Austin-based database developer Traitwise has raised $385,000 out of a planned $513,000 round of financing. The company was founded in 2008, and has developed a comprehensive health database that tracks health-related questions and matches them with factual data.
Matt Winkler is the co-founder of Traitwise, and is also a co-founder of Austin-based Ambion Inc. Ambion was founded in 1988, grew to $58 million in revenue, and was then sold to Applied Biosystems in 2005.
