California-based ridesharing service provider, Uber Technologies, launched its newest ridesharing service scheme in Austin.
Dubbed as “UberLUX”, commuters in Austin area can select their choice of vehicles upon availing of the said service. They can select from several luxury cars that include Mercedes, Audis and BMWs. However, the imposed fees will be much higher compared to the ordinary ridesharing service.
Minimum fare starts at $10 instead of $4. The per minute charge will be 50 cents instead of 40 cents while each mile travelled will cost $3.75 instead of $2,75.Austin is the first city in Texas to enjoy UberLUX.
