Virgin America has just announced that there will be no more flights between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and Dallas Love Field starting on November 30. Instead, it will offer two round-trip flights per day between Las Vegas McCarran International Airport and Dallas Love Field by December 1.
According to John Macleod, Senior VP of Planning and Sales, the DAL-AUS flights did not meet the company’s revenue expectations. Hence, they are banking on a stronger market compared to Austin by expanding their presence in Las Vegas.
Customers who booked flights between DAL-AUS on and after December 1st will be given full refund.
