Austin-based Whole Foods confirmed their office space expansion plans for 2015. A 40,000 square feet office space will be leased by the organic food retailer. The space is near the company’s headquarters located at West 5th and Bowie streets. THey plan on occupying the additional space in 2015. The office tower is being developed by Endeavor Real Estate and Lynd Co.
Currently, Whole Foods has 2,800 employees in Central Texas alone and a total 84,000 for the entire company. It has 386 stores in North America and Europe. The new expansion plan is part of their vision to achieve 500 stores by 2017 and 1,200 stores in the future.
