The HelioVolt solar panel plant located in Austin started its operations in 2008. It is a manufacturer of thin-filmed type of solar panels that will fit to any surface. It has closed its doors to business because its Korean investors stopped the funding for the solar technology development.
It will be holding an auction for its remaining physical assets to be headed by Silicon Valley Disposition. Some of the offered items are:
1. Siemens Deionization – a water purification system
2. Vacuum sputtering system
3. An Electron Microscope
4. Manz Laser Scribers
5. A Laser Microscope
6. Innolas Systems Laser Scriber
