According to the Census Bureau Austin is now the 11th largest city in the U.S. Because of Austin’s growing population which averages about 50 new people per day it lept past Indianapolis and Jacksonville. The 2012 Austin population was estimated at 842,592 by the Census Bureau.
This economic and population growth is no accident according to May Lee Leffingwell. Texas overall continues to outshine most other major U.S. cities and states.
