British medical company plans to buy ArthroCare Corp. in a $1.7B deal. Arthorcare Corp is a medical device maker based in Austin. If the buyout happens, this will be one of the largest acquisitions in Austin.

However, according to development leaders in this field are saying that ArthroCare Corp’s losing its headquarters could create a negative effect for Austin.
