I get this question all the time…”Should I lease or own my office space?”. It’s a tricky question because there are a lot of factors involved such as your own personal or company situation, market conditions, your ownership options, etc.
To make this clear we are talking about owner occupied office space……..not investment properties.
At the end of the day I always tell clients that if they have the extra cash, don’t plan on growing that much later on, and can hold the asset for at least 5-10 years then YES owning your own office is better than leasing. However if you have big growth plans and don’t have the capital to put down a large down payment then leasing is probably the better option for you.
