President Obama visited Austin last Thursday, and repeatedly said that Austin’s robust tech culture could serve as a model for other U.S. cities. Obama cited our local schools, universties and entrepreneurial spirit as prime factors that drive our local tech scene.
Obama specifically referenced local technology companies like Community Cars, as well as technology incubators like Capital Factory.
“Folks around here are doing something right,” Obama said. “I’ve come to listen and learn.”
