Startup Activity at 13-year High

According to a report released by Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, almost 13 percent of Americans started a new business in 2012, which is the highest rate of entrepreneurial activity in the United States since 1999.

The report also states that three out of four Americans are starting new businesses because they see an opportunity, and not because they can’t find a job. Also, 43 percent of Americans believe they are a wide variety of opportunites for entrepreneurs in the United States today.
