The Old West Austin Historic District consists of three distinct neighborhoods. All were developed in the early part of the 20th century and boast a wide range of architectural styles from simple cottages to grand Colonial mansions. Located in one neighborhood, Woodlawn, the city’s oldest house, is a landmark Greek Revival plantation house built in 1853. Another neighborhood is Pease Park, which is home to a creek, jogging trails, and other recreational opportunities.
The Old West Austin Historic District has 106 blocks of residential development and parkland, and is located to the northwest of downtown. It was originally part of the George W.
